Olympic Protestors' Ignorant Actions!

I read an article online at CBC >here's the article and it just made my blood boil! So I posted a rant on my facebook wall, thought I would share it here.



After reading the article, come back here and tell me in the comments section what your views on protesting the Olympics are.


MY RANT (may be a little harsh):

OH come on! This is just ridiculous! If you don't like the Olympics, don't watch them!! No need to smash stuff and bash people. There are much more pressing events to protest. However, if you really feel that protesting the Olympics takes precedence over everything else, do it PEACEFULLY and RESPECTFULLY! How is smashing windows getting the point across? If there actually is a point to protesting the Olympics.

I can't stand people like this:


"200 masked protesters"?? Why the hell are you "MASKED" to begin with. It must not be a great cause if you aren't willing to show YOUR FACE while standing up for it.



Oh and by the way, your "protesting" the Olympics just brings more acknowledgment and recognition to them - so it's NOT WORKING.

"200 masked protesters" won't shut down a WORLD WIDE EVENT. Take your 200 and go protest your local sports players or something else locally with the same theme.
